Our Product

• How is it installed, and what is included with the PM Toolkit?

The PM Toolkit is provided as a single, executable, installation program. The installation will place over 30 project management document templates and forms onto your computer, into a directory you select during installation. A new program group will be created in your program menu (the Start menu), with shortcuts to each template, organized by project phase.

• What system requirements and software do I need?

Our PM Toolkit and templates are currently supported by Microsoft Office, versions 2000 thru 2007. We offer two distinct installation packages, one for Office 2000 & 2003, and one for Office 2007. The Office 2007 version does contain several features not available in older versions of Microsoft Office.

We currently support any operating system capable of running Microsoft Office. We have had problems reported with the installation on MACs. If you encounter a problem installing the templates, just send us an e-mail and we will provide an alternate package.

• Can I recommend a new template?

Yes, please do. Weve bundled the templates we use to manage our projects. If you have an idea for a template which might be beneficial to you and others, please let us know. Were always looking for new ideas and to improve our product.

• I have a great template. Do you purchase templates?

We do. If youve created and use a great template which we do not currently offer, we would be excited to include it in our product. The template must be your unique work and property, and not trademarked or otherwise owned by any company or individual other than you. We reserve the right to decide which templates we include in our products.

If we choose to include your template into our product, we will pay you between $25 and $100 for the template via PayPal (you must have a PayPal account). If interested, please contact us via e-mail for more information: info@getprojecttemplates.com.

Licensing

• Who is required to purchase a license?

Our product is licensed to be installed on one computer and for use by one individual. Each individual who installs our product or uses our document templates must purchase a license. Our document templates cannot be distributed or shared without obtaining additional licenses. Any file included with this product is a document template and not to be distributed without additional licenses.

You may share and distribute individual documents created from these templates.

Volume licensing discounts are available for groups and corporations. Please contact us for details at sales@getprojecttemplates.com.

• Can I distribute the templates or documents?

Under the terms of our license agreement, you may not share or otherwise distribute the document templates included with our product. You may share and distribute any documents created from the templates.

Any documents ending with a .dot, .dotx, .xlt, or .xltx extension are document templates and not to be distributed without additional licenses. Documents created from these templates and ending with .doc, docx, xls, or .xlsx extensions can be shared and distributed.

• Can I change the templates?

Yes. Any individual with a properly licensed product can modify the templates. We encourage you to change cover pages, headers, footers, colors, and individual sections to meet your business needs.

Please be advised that any upgrades to our product may overwrite changes you have made to the templates. Please backup any customizations you make prior to reinstalling or upgrading this product.

If you believe your changes to one of our templates would be beneficial to our product or other templates, please let us know. Were always looking to improve our product. We will pay you for any enhancements which you provide and we decide to include in our package. We offer $25 via PayPal for each improved template we add to our product. We reserve the right to decide what suggestions are acceptable and included into our product.

• How do I buy the PM Toolkit?

Easy. Simply click Buy Now from our website and then Order Now at the bottom of the page. You will be directed to our secure, SSL encrypted order form. Select the quantity you would like to purchase and the version of office you are using. We accept most major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover) and PayPal as payment methods. After completing your purchase, you will receive an e-mail containing a link to download our product. The download link is valid for five days or five download attempts.

• What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept most major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover) and PayPal as payment methods. Local taxes will be applied to your order.

• How secure is the website and my payment?

Your purchase is 100% secure. We have partnered with FastSpring to process and secure your online purchase. • How will I receive my purchase?

After purchasing our product, you will receive an e-mail confirmation which will include a link to download the PM Toolkit. If you do not receive the e-mail within 30 minutes of your purchase or you have any problems downloading the product, please contact us at: support@getprojecttemplates.com

• What is your refund policy?

We are very confident in the quality of our product, but if at any time you are not 100% satisfied we will provide a full refund. All we ask is that you first send a short explanation of what we could do better so we can continuously improve our product.

Using our Templates

• How do I create documents from the templates?

Our unique installation package will create menu shortcuts to each template within your program menu. To create a document from one of our templates, simply locate the PM Toolkit program group from your program menu. Within the PM Toolkit folder you will find links to all of our templates, organized by project phase.

• How do I customize the templates?

To customize one of our templates, first locate the template on your file system. By default, the templates are place into the C:\Program Files\PM Toolkit directory, although you may have selected a different location during installation.

When changing the templates, be sure to modify the actual template file. Double-clicking on the template will not modify the template; instead it will create a new document from the template. To modify a template, right-click on the template file and choose Open from the menu.
