Origin and Mission

As a consultant for the past 15 years I have helped small, large, and global companies to implement technology solutions. I’ve filled many roles including developer, architect, manager, director, sponsor, and project manager. During this time, I learned that projects rarely fail because of technology, or lack of talented people projects fail when poorly managed.

Today, I direct a group of technology consultants and project managers for an IT professional services firm. Part of my job is to continuously improve our project management methodology and the tools we use. As weve matured as a PMO my appreciation has grown for setting clear expectations, controlling scope, constant communication, risk mitigation, and other finer points of project management its not all about schedule and tasks.

While striving for high quality and consistency, we developed a set of document templates and forms to further support our Project Managers. With everyone using the same documents, we are able to deliver a consistent experience to our clients. Focusing on high-impact deliverables and avoiding overly complicated process has allowed us to create and deliver documents that make our Project Managers and customers more efficient and successful.

I launched CI Solutions in early 2009 with a mission of providing project management professionals low cost tools to deliver high quality results in less time. Our first product, the PM Toolkit, is a compilation of targeted project documents and forms designed to help you save time while delivering quality results. I hope you find them as useful as I have.
